“Spirit Directed Bible Trek”

In the stillness of God’s presence the Holy Spirit impressed upon me a verse; the one that says something like “the Jews need a sign and the Gentiles wish for knowledge in order to have faith”. After praying and asking the Lord what I needed from His Word that day, I opened my Bible to Romans 8 and began reading .
The verse that got me moving was verse 24. “For we are saved by hope but hope that is seen is not hope; for what a man seeth, why doth we yet hope.”.  I still wanted to find the verse I was impressed with earlier and started a search (I know what’s in the Word, but can’t remember where, so I use study resources).

The first place I was taken on this daily walk was John 20:27-29 which is the doubting Thomas faith. Jesus said to the disciples after allowing Thomas to touch Him “… you believe because you have seen me, blessed are they that have not seen yet believe” (WOW!!).  Next my adventure took me to 2 Corinthians 5:7 where the apostle Paul said “For we walk by faith and not by sight”.  A Scofield reference sent me to 1 Peter 1:8 which is so amazingly beautiful…” Whom having not seen ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory” (double WOW-WOW).  I finally got to the verse that was impressed upon me in the first place which is in 1 Corinthians 1:22 “For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:”.  {Now I must interject here that for the past week or so I have been studying 1 Corinthians in regards to “divisions” within the Body of Christ} So when I read v. 22 I was just rejoicing and giggling because our Heavenly Father is so awesome!
But that wasn’t the end of the trek.  Moving along I went to  1 John 4:20 “If a man say I love God but hates his brother he is a liar; for he loves not his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?”.
Then, as Our Great Teacher so often has done with me in the past, I was then sent right back to Romans 8: 24!

All in all, this alone/quiet time with Father was simply amazing.  Hours in the Word;guidance, love, truth and more.

It is so true that if you seek you will find.  Not just salvation, as Jesus was referring to in that verse, but also daily in your walk with our Lord and Savior. Open the Word, ask the Spirit for guidance and discernment, and you will get what you ask for.  You know why?  It’s God’s will you read/study His Word,; it’s His will you ask Him for direction; it’s His will you grow in your walk; so if you ask for these things in the name of Jesus, it WILL BE DONE!  So, all glory and honor be to the One and True God!
Father may I be an obedient child and follow the instructions You so wonderfully gave me this day.

There is joy, hope and peace in knowing the Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Everyday is a new day to share the the glorious Gospel message of grace and forgiveness; the blessings of hope; the Father God's eternal promises; and the importance of living daily in the will of God according to the Scriptures, especially now with the world in chaos and uncertainty. My life before I repented of all my sin, was washed clean by the blood of the Lamb of God-- Jesus Christ and was born again; was one of utter selfishness in every aspects of my life. I lived for ME and only me! Now I live for my Lord and soon coming King, rejoicing daily. I earnestly desire to share the message of the Gospel, encourage sisters/brothers in Christ by fervent prayer and studying the Holy Scriptures more each day.
