Wolves and Artificial Sweeteners  ~Introduction~

This series comes from a sincere prayer to the Lord from David.  As those who are forgiven by God’s amazing grace through the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, this prayer should be the desire of our hearts as well.

1 Samuel 2:24 says “Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.”

Psalm 25: 1-15  “Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.  O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed , let not mine enemies triumph over me.  Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed : let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.  Show me Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths.   Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.  Remember , O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy loving kindnesses; for they have been ever of old.  Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness’ sake, O LORD.  Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.  The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.  All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.  For thy name’s sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.  What man is he that fears the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose . His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.  The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.  Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.”

 Man has seen to it that for everything natural in this world, he is able to create a synthetic.  Diamonds are natural, cubic zirconia are imitations.  Sugar is natural, aspartame is synthetic.  I always say we live in a “plastic world”.  We know from the past 50 years that plastics are cheap materials to make things from, but they don’t decompose, they just cause cluttered landfills and coastal waters.  We eat out of plastic, sleep on fabrics made with it, clothe ourselves with those same fabrics, everything we touch has some form of plastic associated with it and they are even in the foods we eat.  We have artificial sweeteners, flavors, preservatives and colors that have completely inundated our food sources.

I am speaking boldly now because as I  hear some in the ministry preach, listen to Christian radio programs and music, read books and devotionals, watch others in churches and “pay attention” to what is happening in the world~~I am seeing “imitation” Christians everywhere.  This is not to judge anyone, because I can honestly say that before my salvation through God’s incredible love and Jesus sacrifice for me, I was worse than the ‘woman at the well’.  Some of you may not like the sounds of this, for that I do not apologize because the Day of the Lord is approaching and we are told by every prophet, apostle, disciple of Christ’s and the Lord Jesus Himself, to be aware of false prophets (wolves in sheep’s clothing) who are “imitations”.   This series is written as the Lord leads me.  

We are told in John 8:32 “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”.  My prayer is that all His children are kept from being led astray or seduced by an “artificially sweetened” Gospel.
