This is my second blog award in 2 days. I am so humbled (to the point of tears—overwhelmed!). I want to thank Bird (Cathie) at Everyone Has a Story for nominating me. If ever I needed some encouragement in my blogging it’s been this past week.
As it is for all awards, there are rules. I am suppose to be telling you something I’ve been doing lately. Well, for the first time in years I am able to plant a small garden spot behind my apartment building. My dear neighbor, Mel, who passed away earlier this year (I wrote a post about him called “Gone Fishing”) was the one who was in charge of making the backyard “pretty”. His children, after he passed, gave me a lot of his items in the garden spot. I told them I would make the spot beautiful…in memory of his dear friendship–he was like a dad to me. So, I’ve been planting baskets of flowers, doing a little landscaping, even have some tomatoes growing…and it’s a joy for me. I’m still a kid when it comes to playing in the dirt.
I understand I am suppose to nominate 6 people for this award–but, for this award I would like to nominate just 2.

PS: I have a granddaughter named “Bug”. Someday I will post about her. At 7 years old, she see the Lord in such amazing ways!

WOW! You only picked 2 and one of them was me! Thank you so much. I feel humbled and honored that you read my blog so diligently. I have been having a hard time finding time to write lately. So much going on at the church we serve that I can barely find time to sleep. Thank God that He provides the extra time for me to get all that I get done and still sleep.
Thank you for the nomination. I am going to try to get this done tonight before I look for that extra hour of sleep. 🙂
