I am F.R.O.G.

F  ~~ freely

R ~~ relying

O ~~ on

G ~~ God

Some time ago, I didn’t blog for a time because of my health issues.  I’ve mentioned some of them in my ‘about me’ page and in a few posts, but I’ve never given a full picture.  I would like to do that today, as the Lord is leading me to share, and you’ll see why.

First I’ll start with my anatomical issues– I have degenerative disc disease, scoliosis, bulging discs in my lumbar region, the discs in my neck are almost gone (causing much pain), bone spurs on the cervical discs.  Next there are the complicated overlapping conditions caused by these anatomical problems.  I have pinched facial and neck nerves, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, chronic lyme disease, arthritis in my knees..neck..shoulders..and hips.  To add to this I have neuropathy in my hands and feet.  I suffer from muscle spasms 24 hours a day in every part of my body.  I’ve had thyroid cancer;  had the right lobe completely removed and cryosurgery for cervical cancer.

Two years ago, out of the blue I had a gall bladder attack, was rushed to the ER and immediately sent to surgery for an “infected” gall bladder.  I didn’t have any issues with my gall bladder before this.  They tried to laproscopically remove it, but it was extremely enlarged so the doctor made a 7 inch incision diagonally from just under my breastbone to about 4 inches above my hip.  My hospital stay was 4 days, I was sent home and my daughter who is a CNA came twice a day to dress the wound.  When I returned 10 days after being sent home, I returned to the surgeon so he could remove the staples.  He started and the wound opened.  It was 1 1/2 inches deep.  He stopped after 3 or 4 staples and for the next 2 weeks I had visiting nurses come in and stuff gauze, etc in the wound, clean it and bandage.  When I returned to doctor for the second time, he said the wound was infected and he had to remove the other 9 staples.  Wow–what a mess I was.  The entire ordeal was very painful, especially trying to sleep.  Anyway, for 6 months I had nurses twice a day, 7 days a week.  I kept developing infections.  They tried everything.  Finally in the beginning of the 7th month I started making bi-weekly visits to a wound care clinic.  Eventually, the wound care specialists had it controlled, but they used pig skin to fill in the remaining wound area.  Oh and one more thing about this wound, it left a football size abdominal hernia.  Enough of this…

I am allergic to everything from household dust to all the pollens, etc outdoors.  Asthma as you would imagine.

I have pernicious anemia, my digestive tract does not absorb B-12 which is essential for red blood production, so monthly I go in for an injection.

I have digestive issues (irritable bowel, etc) so my primary doc scheduled a colonoscopy and an endoscopy.  Looking inside from both ways.  The day I was scheduled for the tests, I ended up in the ER with a very serious infection on the left side of my face.  I was admitted, quarantined and put on 4 IV and one oral antibiotics.  It was painful and I was seen by two infectious disease doctors.  You see by the time I went to ER (this was the 2nd time) my face was blistered and my left eye was almost swollen shut.  After a 5 day stay they determined it was cellulitus.  Now I know all about cellulitus because I’ve had it 3 times in my left leg and 3 times in my right leg.  Because of that, I have major discolorations…but hair doesn’t grow on them either.

Almost immediately after getting out of the hospital from this I developed constant nausea.  I woke up with it, had it all day and went to bed with it.  It actually felt like morning sickness.  The prescription medicine did nothing.  I started eating crackers constantly.  Before a meal, after a meal.  It never stopped, it was just another adjustment the Lord helped me deal with.  Add nausea to my above issues…I was so tired–but never once did I complain. I still keep away from people and cried to Lord a lot for rest, which He always faithfully gave me!  I know that everything works for God’s glory to those who love Him… and that I do!  He’s my everything and I love Him so deeply I have no words to tell you how much.  During this time I started this blog.  One thing about me is I am a prayer warrior, I truly love entering into the Lord’s presence and make requests for those in need but never for myself, except for spiritual desires.

Well, one early afternoon I was sitting in my living room after reading the Word, listening the Lord.  And I prayed ” Heavenly Father, I want to do your will, to do the work you have for me.  I am so tired and sick…if you could just take ONE of my afflictions from me I could do your work and bring glory to your name.  Thank you Father…in the name of Jesus.  Amen!”

Ready for the FROG??  Here it is.  Miraculously, the next morning I awoke without nausea.  I could eat right.  I didn’t want to tell anyone I believed it was a healing…but now 7 weeks later I can expound it to all!  Praise Him–Praise Him!!  I HAVE NO NAUSEA!   I am eating better, have lost 8 pounds and have more energy than I’ve had in a long time.  My loving Father knew which affliction needed to go.

Now as I finish this my eyes are filling with tears.  For any of you who may read this…know this one thing.

Matthew 7: 7-11 ” “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.  Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?  Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent ?  If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

Luke 11: 9-13  “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 0 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.  If a son asks for bread  from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish?  Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?  If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”

I’ve tried to live the Christian life on my own, adjust to my circumstances on my own and tried to serve the Lord on my own.  But I have learned  that each and every day, if  “I freely rely on God “~~He will never fail me.  He is all we need!  His LOVE is perfect!  For those of us who have trusted Jesus Christ as our Savior and made a commitment to serve Him~~He DOES ALWAYS PROVIDE AND CARE FOR US, His children.

There is joy, hope and peace in knowing the Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Everyday is a new day to share the the glorious Gospel message of grace and forgiveness; the blessings of hope; the Father God's eternal promises; and the importance of living daily in the will of God according to the Scriptures, especially now with the world in chaos and uncertainty. My life before I repented of all my sin, was washed clean by the blood of the Lamb of God-- Jesus Christ and was born again; was one of utter selfishness in every aspects of my life. I lived for ME and only me! Now I live for my Lord and soon coming King, rejoicing daily. I earnestly desire to share the message of the Gospel, encourage sisters/brothers in Christ by fervent prayer and studying the Holy Scriptures more each day. 1. Yes He does answer “every” prayer we pray. The answers come in either “Yes–my child this is My will” or “No my child, this is not what is best for you”… however…sometimes there is a period of waiting on our part, until it is His perfect timing.
Trusting and relying everyday isn’t easy…and I don’t always do it either, but when I do–every moment is a miracle.
      Blessings for you

    1. Sometimes Angela I wish I could some how find a word (or words) more powerful than “amazing” to describe our God— but we have no such words.
I do believe I understand why the Lord God told Moses, when he asked who God was, the Lord said “I AM, that I AM”.
Perfectly Holy, immeasurably loving, FULL of mercy, forgiveness that never ends… so, so much more.
There are many days I say I can’t wait for the day to see Him to face… and soon we shall. In the meantime, I (we) must keep running the course (race), fighting the good fight and keeping faith.

      Sweet blessings sister
