Friday’s Favorite

Battling a week-long flu… however I can truly say I thank God for it.  This time in bed has given me much time to pray!  Prayer is such a joy.  To know, that because we are “crucified with Christ” and cleansed by our  Savior’s blood, we are ABLE to enter into the presence of the Almighty God amazes me.  No… it does more than amaze me, but there are not words in our language to describe it.  I thank our Lord Jesus Christ for being “obedient unto death” for our sakes.  WOW!!!  Now if that’s not a message to shout out.  Enjoy my choice for this Friday’s Favorite and I hope that it blesses you!

1 Corinthians 2 17 “And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God.  For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.  I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling.  And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human  wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,  that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.  However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.  But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory…”

Galatians 2: 20  “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”

Galatians 5:24-25  “And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.  If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”
