This Tuesday Turnabout post is one from February. Very early on in my blogging, and after reading I see growth in my relationship to our God! I praise Him for that, because it comes from spending time in His Word, prayer, fellowship with other followers of Jesus and ultimately by the grace of God! I pray that it will bless or challenge you.
I’ve made a few minor tweaks to the post, however the content and message remain the same. I’ve also added a collage of seasonal photographs I hope you enjoy. No matter what season of life we are in, our Glorious God and Savior remains the same!
~~FOCUS~~
I enjoy photography very much; particularly nature landscapes, cloud formations, sunsets and wintry snowfalls. The beauty of God’s creations in nature amaze me and I want to capture that beauty in a photo to retain the scene forever.
One thing however that irritates me when I’m trying to “focus” in on a scene that catches my eye is when I just can’t seem to get the right light, image setting or timing. When I finally do (sad face here) that beautiful scene is gone. The wind changed, the clouds reformed, the sun set further on the horizon or the lighting in the trees changed. I’m sure if you’re a photographer you’ve experienced the same thing.
In my relationship with my Heavenly Father through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, I’ve discovered that it is not “easy” to stay on track with the Lord. Of course it isn’t! Keeping my “focus” on Him is constantly altered by the world around me, the flesh within me and the enemy seeking to destroy all that God has willed for my life.
Good news here!
Even though the winds of change pass through my life, I am able to stay focused!
Even if my surroundings are reformed by a health issue or a financial crisis, I am able to stay focused!
No matter what happens, the Son will never remove Himself from side. His light is always within me, and I am able to stay focused!
How?
“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2
“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” 2 Corinthians 10:5
Focus comes from looking to the Author of our faith and by making sure we bring every thought, event, situation and change in our lives “… to the obedience of Christ.” Focus on placing your relationship with God through Jesus at the center of your life and revolve everything else around it on a day-to-day basis.
My (and yours) personal prayer…”Focus on placing your relationship with God through Jesus at the center of your life and revolve everything else around it on a day-to-day basis.” Thank you, Stephanie.

Things will always go wrong when we take our focus off the Lord Jesus – just as it did for Peter when he shifted his focus to the raging waves of the sea and the boisterous winds. Praise God, He doesn’t leave us in that helpless condition, but is ALWAYS there, ready to lift us and bring us back to Himself.
Thanks Stephanie for another reminder of the importance of ALWAYS maintaining our focus, looking only unto Jesus.
What an amazing God!
