F.Y.I. and a Question

I will be doing a design change on my blog and also for those of you that use Facebook creating a page for “Hope and Peace in an Uncertain Word”.  In the meantime, I would like to give you something to ponder….

I’ve noticed that when I write a short post and add a photo or a video… it receives a larger response.  When I write a post filled with Scripture and a message of truth… I get a lesser response.  I’ve followed some blogs that post single verses and have an enormous response— and others that teach the truth according to Scripture get a minimal response.  Question for you— Why?  Any feedback would be appreciated!  Thank you.  May everyone thank our God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ for His unending love !   ♥ Streim

  1. Your questions are ones I have asked myself. I guess it comes down to our desires/needs. I’m sure some people just want a ‘social’ meeting place, so a short post or a non-challenging, or a “nice” post suits their needs, whereas a challenging post is just not what they are looking for.

Now, I’m not saying that anyone is wrong. There are posts to cater to all.

For some, a verse of Scripture is enough. For some, a short explanation is better still. Many seem to look for family tales, heartening stories, funny stories, travel accounts etc. Some are looking for motivation to praise and worship and some want a video or music.

For some, a challenge sets them on fire, inspires them and motivates them to action. Some like to debate a serious topic.

I guess in some ways, it is like the way different people approach God’s Word. Some seek comfort and encouragement. Some seek inspiration, motivation, challenge.

As a blogger, while I am aware of the variety of reasons people read blogs, I am ONLY concerned with what my God wants me to post. My concern is to obey HIS promptings and write as HE directs, and leave the rest to Him.

We serve an incredibly amazing God who is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
