Hebrews 11: “1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. 3 By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. 4 By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks. 5 By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. 6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” (NKJV)
You’ll hear folks say ” I’ll believe it when see it”. Well, for those of us who have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ our Lord and have been adopted into the family of God should “live by faith, not by sight (Hab. 2:4b) . We receive that faith from God the Father through His breathed out word The Holy Bible. Spending time daily to feed on the Word keeps us walking on the right path. Notice I didn’t say read, I said feed. Feeding on the Word of God is reading, studying, digesting and using for our spiritual growth. As God told Moses to remind the Israelites in the desert: “So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord.” My pray for you, my brothers and sisters, is that each day you grow more in your walk with the Lord. This song is a very nice representation of ‘walking by faith’. ♥ Streim
