Whose Book Are You Reading?

For several years now I have watched and heard some of the most demonic, bizarre, sensual, earthly and new-age philosophies seep gradually into MANY  mainstream christian churches of the world. European countries; Australia and New Zealand; and the largest churches in North America; especially the USA.  I could write for weeks/months about the many different worldly ‘pinches of leaven’ mixed with the True Gospel I’ve read/seen from what I thought were solid Godly organizations.  I’m seeing and hearing more and more everyday in Contemporary Gospel music as well.   Could this be the great falling away written in 2 Thessalonians 2?   I ask this because why would anyone who claims the name of Christ, want to  add to or take anything from the Word of God– the Holy Scriptures.  The LORD God gave many admonitions throughout the Bible about adding to or taking away from HIS Holy Word:  Deuteronomy 4:2; 12:32 — Gal. 3:15 — Matt. 5:18-19 — Rev. 22:18.  These are just a few of the many.
Three reasons I discovered for “changing” the True Gospel according to the LORD God’s Holy Word!
  •  it make the makes the Gospel more pleasing to the hearer
  •  it’s politically correct and morally easier to accept 
  •  it stirs human feelings and emotions, making people feel good and believe “it is ALL about me” after all                                              
TRUE GOSPEL— The loving gift of redemption the Creator of everything visible and invisible, the LORD God Almighty gave to us; a sinful, selfish, cold-hearted, lust-filled mankind; came through the shed blood of His only Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  He’s shared His character with us through His breathed out Holy Word.  Then filling the redeemed with the Holy Spirit.  I so desire to share this message with anyone who will listen or read.  I prayed last night, before getting into bed, and asked our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus to show me from His Word how He would have to share the glorious True Gospel with others.

The Living Water and The Bread of Life = Pure Truth of the HOLY WORD

Waste treated bottled water and Corn Beef on moldy rye = The lies/deceit/heresy of the world’s new Christianity and it’s leaders who would rather give you philosophies, new age thinking, or the God is love message all the time

This morning, when I woke up, a verse came to mind.  “now unto Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present to faultless before the Throne of Glory, to our Only Wise God and Savior be glory and majesty, dominion and power both now and  forever and ever.  Amen.” (Jude 1:24-25)  Now I know it’s not verbatim from the Bible so some of you may pooh-pooh this; but, it was not extra biblical revelation stuff or a profound prophetic event, it was simply the answer to my prayer.  As I write this I’m smiling because the heretics, apostates, evil, sneaky, slimy, glittery, pleasant-sounding words that are “lies from the deceiver himself”  can not— I repeat CAN NOT   draw a blood bought adopted child of the One True G-D away from our Father and Lord Jesus!!
My sincere desire is that all the brethren of the True Church,  the Body of Christ, the Bride of Christ is:  To hold to the only true standard of teaching: the Holy Bible
not a watered down version, not a twisted version, not a verse out of context version;  all these with even a pinch of leaven added to “spoil/rot” the Holy Scriptures.   ♥Streim

Friday’s Message in Music (and words too)

The fourth Thursday of November is designated a special day to give thanks for God’s provision.  The original concept of the native people and pilgrims having a meal together of turkey, pumpkin pie and cranberries is false.  Actually, it was a celebration by the pilgrims of having their first good harvest of vegetables and a bounty of good hunting.  It lasted three days and they kept the tradition for several years.  They didn’t eat turkey–it was venison (because the natives gave them four deer), Indian corn, squash and other vegetables.  It wasn’t until 1863 that Abraham Lincoln set this special day (after 40 years of requesting it by the woman who wrote “Mary Had a Little Lamb”.) as Thanksgiving Day. 

So you’re probably asking yourself “why” am I posting this.  Because, if we truly would use thanksgiving day to thank God for His provision–that would be beautiful.  The greatest provision given to us by God is NOT “a turkey with all the fixin’s” meal. I believe the greatest provision promised to all people thousands of years ago, and fulfilled when He sent His only Son to do for us what we couldn’t do for ourselves, REDEMPTION!

Galatians 8:8-14 The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, “ALL THE NATIONS WILL BE BLESSED IN YOU.” So then those who are of faith are blessed with Abraham, the believer. For as many as are of the works of the Law are under a curse; for it is written, “CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO DOES NOT ABIDE BY ALL THINGS WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF THE LAW, TO PERFORM”. Now that no one is justified by the Law before God is evident; for, “THE RIGHTEOUS MAN SHALL LIVE BY FAITH.”  However, the Law is not of faith; on the contrary, “HE WHO PRACTICES THEM SHALL LIVE BY THEM.” Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us-for it is written, “CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO HANGS ON A TREE “- in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.  NASB

Wake Up and Realize “there is no afterlife”

OK… I know before you read any further that you may be thinking, has Streim lost her faith?  Or maybe that I’m a tad off my “spiritual” balance.  Well, neither is true.  I will tell you why I make the statement ” There is no afterlife” and the purpose for writing this post.

First, here are a few verses that describe how God Almighty views our life here on earth:

1 Peter 1:24 “… because “All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, And its flower falls away”

Psalm 103:14-16 ”  For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust. As for man, his days are like grass; As a flower of the field, so he flourishes. For the wind passes over it, and it is gone, And its place remembers it no more” 

Isaiah 40:6-8 ”  The voice said, “Cry out!” And he  said, “What shall I cry?” “All flesh is grass, And all its loveliness is like the flower of the field.  The grass withers, the flower fades, Because the breath of the Lord blows upon it; Surely the people are grass. The grass withers, the flower fades, But the Word of our God stands forever.”

According to the United Nations data for 2010, the average life expectancy is 67.2 years.  This is an average based on all nations of the world.  I am fully aware here in the US some folks live well into their 90’s;  I have a dear friend who just celebrated her 92nd birthday.  However in third world countries, for example Zimbabwe the average is 31.8.

definition of eternity according to onlinefreedictionary.com  :

1. Time without beginning or end; infinite time… (time lasting forever)
2. The state or quality of being eternal.
3. a. The timeless state following death.

     b. The afterlife; immortality.

What does Almighty God say about eternity?

John 6:40 ” And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

John 6:27 “Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.”

Romans 6:22 ” But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.”

 We all know that at some time in our life here in earth we will die.  Old age, accidents, disease… whatever, for the most  part (*)    everyone; man, woman or child will die.  Whether we live to be 30 years or 100 years… it’s a mere “blip” in time compared to eternity.  So, technically the years we spend here on earth is “PRE-LIFE”  and when this body dies… there’s eternity.  Eternity is “LIFE”.  The real deal.  And… what we do in this pre-life determines where we spend LIFE!!!   There’s only two places, according to the Word of God, where we will spend LIFE eternal.  1)  WITH ALMIGHTY GOD AND THE LORD JESUS CHRIST  or 2)  WITHOUT GOD— in a place of outer darkness filled with pain, suffering, sadness, being alone. (2 Thessalonians 1:5-9 NASB)  Forever and ever and ever and ever…..

  “…where will you spend eternity ?”

Romans 3:18-28 “THERE IS NO FEAR OF GOD BEFORE THEIR EYES.” Now we know that whatever the Law says, it speaks to those who are under the Law, so that every mouth may be closed and all the world may become accountable to God; because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes the knowledge of sin. But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus; whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed; for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. Where then is boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? Of works? No, but by a law of faith. For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law. ” NASB

The Almighty LORD God created mankind out of love; wanting a personal relationship with him.  Adam (the first man) and Eve chose to disobey a simple command by the LORD. (Genesis 2-3).  Their disobedience was passed on to all, part of our DNA.  But, the LORD God provided a way to restore that loving, personal relationship through the substitutionary death of Jesus Christ; the only begotten of the Father.  Jesus death paid the required price for our sin-filled heart/life to be cleansed. With that cleansing, the Heavenly Father erases our sin.  Now, one thing to note:  This atoning and cleansing IS available for “…WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.”  Romans 10:13   ♥  Streim
